What led you to create this concept?
"I am a London based interior designer and have just moved into the wedding industry. I have spent the past 8 years providing sophisticated nautical interiors for the super yacht industry, as well as elegant interiors for my high end residential clients, boutique hotel chains and private clubs. It was through my interior design business Beyond Design that I was approached by several clients to help with their wedding lists and was inspired to launch the Beyond Weddings gift service and wedding styling to fill a creative space in the wedding industry."

"My husband and I already had our basic household set up when we decided to get married and preferred to have our guests contribute to a few pieces that were beautiful and timeless. With Chelsea's help, we were able to create a wish list of items that fit in perfectly with our home and created the comfortable, but stylish, look we loved."
How did you hear about Chelsea's service?
"Chelsea came recommended via the British Interior Design Association. We had met quite a few designers before her, but we were excited to find someone who understood the look we were trying to create, had great ideas, and with whom we felt a natural rapport. Her experience in outfitting luxury yachts gave many of her designs a fresh and easy charm that made us feel at home."
How did it work exactly?
"Chelsea helped us identify what items we needed to give our rooms a finished look and then she and I picked out a handful of items -- usually the lower cost items such as lamps, mirrors, accessories, occasional furniture, etc -- that could be sourced via the suppliers of The Wedding Shop at Selfridges. In truth, we got a few good things this way, but the choices were limited. There is definitely a market for people who want interior design items on their wedding list (rather than another set of china). With people getting married at later stages in their life, they have all the basic stuff already."
"My husband and I had already bought a flat and had been living together for 4 years when we decided to get married, I was introduced to Chelsea through a friend a just at the time of our engagement and I asked her to help me with organizing putting together a list of gifts that would compliment and enhance what we already had.
