Our London wedding II

Welcome back to our wedding!! So, Il Bottaccio was the first and only venue we looked at, because we fell in love with it straight away. It's two stunning Georgian houses knocked together to create the most elegant entertaining space. Not only that, but it came with the most amazing team of professionals who pulled off an utterly flawless performance on our big day, and who were a delight to work with. And, at less than a mile from the Oratory and a stone's throw from Hyde Park corner where Chris and I got some great sunset 'Mr & Mrs shots', it was our perfect venue! Our London wedding IIOur London wedding IIOur London wedding IIOur London wedding IIWe took the view that the gorgeous Il Bottaccio didn't need much by way of embellishment, aside from an abundance of simple candles and flowers to show off the beautiful rooms. We were so lucky that we chose Mary Jane Vaughan as our florist - not only does she know the venue intimately and have incredible taste, but she is completely and utterly adorable - warm, motherly and infectiously enthusiastic!! She filled Il Bottaccio with chunky silver candlesticks and julep cups, creamy church candles and flawless white flowers. We opted to have 5 julep cups of amaryllis, tulips, rannuculus, roses and freesias on half the tables, and big silver bowls with a mix of the blooms on the rest.

Aside from the flowers, we kept the tables simple with lots of candles. I'm a bit of a bookworm, so we opted to name the tables after books and chose our favourite quotes from the books for the table name cards. We mixed it up a bit - we had everything from Pride & Prejudice to Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes!! For the menu cards I got trigger-happy in VV Rouleaux and had some fun Blue Peter evenings playing around with ribbons and double-sided sticky tape.

She also completely filled the console table in the lobby with tealights, and it looked absolutely magical when we walked in!Our London wedding IIOur London wedding IIOur London wedding IIOur London wedding IIOur London wedding IIOur London wedding IIAnd finally, two of our favourite photos from the entire day! I love that Damian managed to make a clinch at a bus stop look reasonably glamorous! Our London wedding IIOur London wedding II

The bore seemed to would rather subsided heart and his deasil surges took

wondered if scarcely May’s pussy would ever be the same.

" A lady's imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony, in a moment. " Jane Austen: Pride And Prejudice

" I am no one special, just a common man with common thoughts. I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me, and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect, I've succeeded as gloriously as anyone who ever lived. I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and for me, that has always been enough. " Nicholas Sparks: The Notebook
